The Can

Most spice companies sell you four ounces in a plastic jar and hope you buy it again in six weeks. We did the opposite. The Tall Boy holds a full pound, which is enough to actually cook with instead of rationing.

The lid is the fun part. It is a real pull-tab can end, the kind that comes off a cold drink. Pull it and there is a perforated shaker disc underneath, ready to go. Nothing to unscrew, nothing to lose in the drawer.

At 16 oz you are paying about $1.13 an ounce. A typical four-ounce jar runs closer to $3.50. The big can is not a novelty, it is the better deal.
